Architectural Space In Virtual Reality II

On December 5th 2007 in HCM city, TTT Corporation celebrated its 15th anniversary by holding a press conference and an exibition to launch a new book named “Architectural Space In Virtual Reality II”. The new one and its previous version “Architectural Space In Virtual Reality I” had collected many experiences and research in 3D architecture renderings that TTT had gained over years with the desire to be shared with colleagues and students. “The Architectural space in virtual reality II” won the National Architectural Awards in 2009.

The works shown in “Architectural Space In Virtual Reality II” were selected from more than 1500 design projects TTT has done. By using various styles and contents, the editors had successfully introduced to readers many different “spices” in design, such as an aesthetic relish from Opera View located in city center; a wild bite from Alezboo Resort by the sea; a poetic sweetness from Ngoc Lan hotel in Dalat, a monumental savor from Sacombank Building, a tiny and funny-looking flavor of Saigon Net Café, etc. Moreover, there were many other hidden interesting things contained in each of those works.

On one hand in the first book “Architecture Space In Virtual Reality I”, editors created the “twin” series of virtual and real images by placing them side by side. Readers could not easily distinguish between those two. On the other hand in the second book “Architecture Space In Virtual Reality II”, it embellished more cartoon-liked illustrations on the virtual images just so the readers could differentiate them from real images. Such embellishments could be hand-draw doodles to the perspectives or outlines of human figures scattered around the designs, as if they claimed that “Hey, we are the virtual images!” Although the boundary between reality and virtuality was removed, the key for these beautifications was to show authors “souls” through their visual arts.
